Day 2: The History of the Compass (2/8/11)



Step 1: Answer the Quick Question in the comment section of the blog.

Quick Question:
If you were there: "It is the year 1270. You are a rich merchant in a Chinese city of about a million people. The city around you fills your senses. You see people in colorful clothes among beautiful buildings. Glittering objects lure you into busy shops. You hear people talking-discussing business, gossiping, laughing at jokes. You smell delicious food cooking at a restaurant down the street. How do you feel about your city? (You must have two or more complete sentences).

Step 2: Track Mr. Sanders as he talks about browsing with multiple tabs.

Step 3: Go to this link and read about the history of the compass.

Step 4: Complete the questions about the compass here.

Step 5: Track Mr. Sanders as he demonstrates how to set up a Gmail address.

Homework: Read about Agriculture in Medieval China and complete the mind map.

    i believe that i feel objects as i go into the stores.i can feel the people shoving and pushing as i go to work.i can also feel my products as i try to show them how my items are a good buy.

    I feel good about my city.My city is very cool there isn't really any drama going on in the city. There isn't anything wrong with my city so I shouldn't unlike the cit. I also like the city because I'm a rich merchant and i have alot of merchandise.

    What I think about my city is that it is a wealthy city. I say this because it has buildings that are with shiny glitter and has decent clothes.

    i feel that my city is really good.i believe that the city that i live in is very busy.all the people are always nice and always interactive.that is why i like my city.

    I feel good about my city because its filled with friendly people and it has lots of shops with no homeless people everyone has family to take care of them.

    I feel safe and comfortable because i know whats going on in my surroundings .And i don't have to worry about anything because people dont act ignorant around here .

    Well,I feel like I'm very fortunate and amazed by the beautiful buildings because it catches my attention.Also I feel like that I live in a place where it's overpopulated and very busy.

    I would feel good, I think life would be good because I'm rich my city's doing just fine and I would most likely be living my life as I want to so I would feel pretty good about my city.

    I feel like there is peace and there is no worries that anything will happen because everyone is so happy.I also think that this is a place where i enjoy living because like kyra said it is a place that knows how to spend its money in a way that is beneficial to others.Also because i am a rich person ....... yay meeeeee!

    I would feel glad and successful. I would feel like I did a good job in successfully building my city. I would also feel like my city like a family and the people in my city were doing a good job of interacting with each other. I would just feel very successful in my city.

    i dont feel happy and scared because,scared because u can get lost in the city and get car jack or money jack ,happy because they have lots of things out their and that you can buy lots of things like you can see the staple center
