Day 7: Cartographers (Map Making) (2/16/11)

Aim: The historians of 2016 will create a map labeling the locations of all the different units of study so far.

Step 2: Submit your homework responses to one of the Chinese contributions here.

Step 3: Track Mr. Sanders and take notes during the review of the Tang Dynasty. If you need to see the presentation later, you can see it here. If you need to see the notes, you can click here.

Step 4: Please submit your e-mail address here so that we can use it for an activity next week. Double check your e-mail address before you submit. If you type it in incorrectly, you will not be able to start the activity with us.

Step 5: Create a colorful map that includes all the different units of study so far. Your map must include the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, Empire of Ghana, Empire of Mali, the Tang Dynasty, and Feudal Europe. If two units occur in the same location, make sure you label the map in a way so that you can see both. Click here if you need an example on how to do that.

(Links to all the different maps can be found on the right hand side of the blog)

Homework: read about military technology in China and complete the corresponding workbook page. Remember to add the Chinese character for each of the Chinese contributions.
