Standard: 7.8.5: Detail advances made in literature, the arts, science, mathematics, cartography, engineering, and the understanding of human anatomy and astronomy.

Aim: The historians of 2016 will create a list of items that they need to accomplish for their project and articulate how their project can be used to teach about their Renaissance topic.

Task 1: E-mail your project proposal to Mr. Sanders. If you have already done this, move to task 2.

Task 2 Quick Question: When learning about the Renaissance, in the coming weeks would you rather learn through projects like this one or daily assignments and worksheets? Why?

Task 3: Track Mr. Sanders during our discussion of the survey results.

Task 4: Come up with a plan for how you are going to teach your teammates about your Renaissance topic. To earn an A on this project, it must meet the following criteria:

  • Created a rigorous five question quiz that measures your teammates learning.
  • Your project reflects a week's worth of time and effort.
  • Your project is done to the best of your ability and reflects hard work and creativity.
Task 5: Complete this exit ticket.

Homework: Make sure all the items required are posted to your portfolio, all your quick questions are done, and you've submitted all your homework for the past two weeks.
