Day 68: Creating a Playlist for your Topic (6/15/11)

Standard: 7.9.2: Describe the theological, political, and economic ideas of the major figures during the Reformation.

Aim: The historians will begin to create a playlist of videos that do an effective job of teaching or helping build understanding of their subject.

Task 1: Submit your homework. If you already submitted your homework online yesterday, you do not have to submit it again.

Task 2 Quick Question: If a teacher wanted to show a video about the fall of the Roman Empire, which type a video should they show? A) A thirty minute documentary where someone explains why the Roman Empire fell and all the background, B) A five minute video providing context so that the students understand the where Roman was and how it grew so that the could teach about its fall, or C) a short animated video describing the three major reasons why the Roman Empire fell? Why would that be the best video to show?

Task 3: Spend 20 minutes finishing up your review of your topic. Remember, when you are reviewing you are looking at websites, your past notes, or the textbook.

Task 4: Track Mr. Sanders as he explains how to create a playlist of videos with your YouTube account.

Task 5: Start creating a playlist of videos for your topic.

Homework: Read about 32.3 Calvinism and complete the workbook page that goes along with it.
