Aim: The junior historians of 2017 will be able to evaluate the role of Justinian and Theodora in expanding the Byzantine empire in the 6th century.

2. Quick Review: What were some of the advantages to Constantinople's geographic location? I will be putting these responses into a wordle in order to visualize our thinking.

3. Track Mr. Sanders as he goes through his presentation on Justinian and his wife Theodora. If you need to review the presentation later, you can see it here. The video on the presentation is coming soon! :)

4. After getting some background on Justinian and his wife Theodora, we will watch this YouTube video to help visualize this time period. You should not be watching it beforehand.
