(Don't forget to write down your grades! Every class. Every day. No excuses!)

Task 3: We will watch this video to introduce the topic of Muslim everyday life. This great video documents the life of a 16-year-old girl growing up Muslim in America.

Task 4: Open this presentation and your Islam/Muhammad notes. We are going to use this presentation to extract some information about the everyday lives of Muslims. Remember, anything you add to your notes should be in your own words.

Task 5: Make a copy of this double-bubble graphic organizer. With this, compare and contrast another belief system to Islam. For example, you can compare and contrast Christianity to Islam, or Judaism, Buddism, etc. Mr. Sanders will help you get this started.

Publish your double-bubble to your history portfolio.

Summary Activity: Comment and provide feedback on two or more of your teammates double-bubble graphic organizers. After you comment on two or more of your teammates double-bubble comparison complete this quick form.

In your comment could/should answer one or more of the following questions:
  • Do you agree with all their comparisons?
  • Is there anything you would change?
  • In there another comparison or contrast you would add to their comparison or contrast?

Homework: Read about Islamic contributions and complete the reading reflection.
