Aim: The historians of 2016 will generate a list of culminating tasks and select a topic focus for this week in history.
Task 1: Submit your homework here. If you completed it online already, you do not need to submit it again. If you don't want to retype everything, you can write (submitted paper) in each box and turn in your written responses.
Task 2 Quick Question: If you were alive during the Renaissance in Italy, which topic or subject would you like to study at the university? Your options are Architecture and Engineering, Painting, Sculpture, Literature and Reading, Science and Mathematics, Politics, and Commerce/Trade.
Task 3: Mr. Sanders will show clips from these two videos (video 1, video 2). If you want to watch the entire clips on your own time later, you can. After the videos, we will read the introduction page to chapter 29 together and discuss this week in history.
Task 4: Create a popplet account and become familiar with the tools there. After you're done becoming familiar, create a mind map of the different possible ideas, themes, words, and sub topics associated with the area of study you choose (architecture, mathematics, science, politics, etc).
Task 5: Tell me which topic you're going to focus on this week.
Homework: Read section on Florence during the Renaissance and write a paragraph describing, in three or more sentences, the role Florence played in the Renaissance.
