Day 91: Islamic Contributions Day Two (Jan 30, 2012)

Standard: 7.2.6 Understand the intellectual exchanges among Muslim scholars of Eurasia and Africa and the contributions Muslim scholars made to later civilizations in the areas of science, geography, mathematics, philosophy, medicine, art, and literature.

Aim: The historians of 2017 will be able to articulate how Muslims have contributed to the development of world culture and society.

4. Connect to our lives: Thinking about the famous Islamic contributions, how do you think our culture and society is contributing to the future of the world? What technological breakthroughs in science, medicine, education, literature, or technology will we be remembered 500 years from now?

5. You will have 25 minutes to work on your Qur'an book cover projects. This project will be due on Wednesday at the end of class. You will have 25 minutes in class today and tomorrow to work on your projects. I'm looking for your project to reflect 2 hours of your best work.
