Day 93: Spread of Islam (2/1/2012)

Standard: 7.2.4 Discuss the expansion of Muslim rule through military conquests and treaties, emphasizing the cultural blending within Muslim civilization and the spread and acceptance of Islam and the Arabic language.

Aim: The historians of 2017 will be able to create a series of three maps that illustrates the spread of Islam.

3. With your headphones, watch this video reviewing what we've learned so far and describing the spread of Islam.

4. You will use this great map to create a google draw document that shows the expansion of the Islamic empire in the 7th, 8th, and 9th centuries.
