Day 144: Medieval Chinese Religion and the Mandate of Heaven

Aim: The historians of 2017 will be able to describe the evolution of religion in medieval China and make comparisons to modern day United States.  

1. Submit your homework: Mongols contact with the outside world. 

2. Quick Question: Yesterday, President Obama publicly said that he was in favor of gay marriage, marking the first time a sitting President made such a statement.  Why do you think a country's beliefs would change over time?  Don't forget to flip the question in your answer today. 

3. Read this text on the religion in China and complete this reading reflection.  

4.  Revisit the lesson for Day 143 and double check that you have everything posted.  Friday is the last day to turn in any work leading up to day 143.  We will start the second half of the quarter on Monday.
