Day 10: Creating Your History Portfolio (8/26/2011)

Key Points:

1. Longitude and Latitude help determine geographic location.

2. We need a uniform system to describe where places are in the world.

3. Each location in the world can be described using longitude and latitude lines.

Objective: The junior historians of 2017 will be able to set up their history portfolio on blogger and change the background to an image of the college they want to attend.

Step 1: Make a copy of this map and use the google draw tools to create a map using the information on your homework.

Step 2 Quick Question: When a teacher hands you back an assignment, what do you do with the paper? What about when its a large project, like a poster or something you created?

Step 3: Review Longitude and latitude homework.

Step 4: Track Mr. Sanders as he demonstrates how to set up your history portfolio. We will also be looking at examples of history portfolios from past students.

Step 5: Complete your first history portfolio post.
